Reston, Va., [Jun 28, 2011] Applied Knowledge Group’s (AKG) Tech Lead and SharePoint Developer, Susan Hernandez, will address the SharePoint Users Group of Washington DC (SUGDC) meeting in Reston on September 8th, 2011. In her 60 minute presentation Susan will be enriching community knowledge on Advanced SharePoint Designer 2010 Workflows. She holds the first speaking slot from 6:45- 7:50pm and will then be followed by Mindsharp’s Bill English from 8-9pm.
“While SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) provided basic workflows with SharePoint Designer 2007, there was a lot you couldn’t do. The Microsoft team made many enhancements in the SharePoint Designer 2010 product, and with workflows in particular” notes Hernandez.
In this session, Susan will cover several of the new Actions available to users in SharePoint Designer 2010 workflows. She will take a deep-dive into the new “Approval Process” Action, which allows you to define events to a very granular level. This presentation is targeted to power-users and advanced users; no development skills are required.
Hernandez has been Developing for 11 years and working with SharePoint since the beginning of SharePoint Server 2003. She currently creates Web Parts, custom Workflows, Dashboards, Event Receivers, Application Pages, and even remote apps for both SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010. In addition to her development responsibilities Susan also does some training on the side, including client training documentation and webinars.
