Reston, Va., [November 2, 2011] Applied Knowledge Group’s user-level and advanced SharePoint training programs at the Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Citizen Immigration Services (DHS/USCIS) continue to be filled to over capacity in their second year of being offered. In order to meet growing demand at DHS, AKG and Microsoft have begun to offer facilitator-led SharePoint training to USCIS personnel nation-wide via Webex.
“At AKG we start planning customized training from the moment a client engagement begins. We’ll identify different groups and levels within your user community and determine what each group needs to know to participate in and benefit from a new collaboration or knowledge management approach” notes Andy Campbell, AKG's Co-Founder and Senior Partner.
At USCIS there are currently over 17,000 end users on SharePoint and growing. AKG’s training is highly effective because it is integrated with a proven SharePoint user adoption framework, which includes: rapid turnaround of SharePoint configuration for business needs, the development of an network of SharePoint “facilitators” drawn from client workgroups, and a training curriculum tailored to the organizations specific needs.
The rapid growth of the DHS/USCIS network, 30 to 15,000 users in less than one year, attests to the effectiveness of AKG’s close partnership with Microsoft Consulting Services and its training and adoption framework. This effective customized training has enabled them to carry only 1.5 full-time help desk employees to support this userbase on their SharePoint network.
AKG’s suite of customized training includes: in-person/on-site classes, virtual online classes with a live trainer, and automated computer based training (CBT). Contact us to see what AKG’s training can do for your project or team.
