Microsoft SharePoint has proven to be a flexible platform for business. Its collaborative features offer a full range of functionality, including outstanding document management capabilities. But it has the potential to do so much more that often remains untapped.  The key is in understanding how to effectively apply the features to create true solutions that work for your business. Native workflow capabilities in SharePoint offer a variety of options to automate business processes, and MOSS users can extend the complexity of the workflows with the now-included SharePoint Designer. Attend this webinar and learn to leverage the workflow capabilities of SharePoint to improve business processes, productivity and gain cost savings.

AKG’s Tech Lead, Susan Hernandez, presents a webinar session designed to teach you how to create SharePoint workflows.  If you can create a rule in MS Outlook, you can create a Designer workflow.

You Will Learn:

How to create a workflow based on out-of-the-box workflows

• Options
• Best Practices
• Editing a workflow
• Running a new workflow

How to create SharePoint Designer workflows from the Basic to Advanced levels, including:

• Best Practices
• Basic If/Else statements
• Setting conditions
• Creating and setting variables
• Workflow “actions”
• Shortfalls of Designer workflows
• And much more…

Attendees will receive:

Printed Instructional Brief for post-session reference
Exercises to practice what you learn

Intended Audience:

This web session is designed for SharePoint users who want to learn more about implementing workflows in SharePoint, including Site Owners, Power Users, Project Managers and Team Members. If you can set a rule in MS Outlook, you will be able to use the capabilities demonstrated in this webinar to create SharePoint workflows.  This session covers native SharePoint and Designer workflows and will not include content from 3rd party workflow applications.  If time permits, we will present a short “Sneak Peek” at custom workflows using Visual Studio.
