Position Requirements:
• Three+ years experience as a Web/Graphic Designer
• B.A. in Graphic Design or the equivalent
• Demonstrated capability and experience in graphic design and development of web-based applications and printed media
• A solid understanding of user-centered design principles, careful attention to detail, as well as ability to grasp multiple product requirements
• Understanding of color palettes, mood boards, typography, branding, etc.
•Creating style guides
•Experience with each of the following is required:
HTML editors
Photoshop
Illustrator or Corel
MS Office (PowerPoint, Word)
Acrobat
Flash
XML
CSS
XSLT
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to establish concept designs for projects
• Outstanding customer service skills in handling challenging assignments
• Ability to create, design, and implement an overall vision in coordination with a team of Microsoft .Net Web Developers is a must
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
Desired Skills:
• Experience with DHTML, JHTML, or JSP
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
• Experience with dynamic, database-driven websites
• Experience with sound editors
• Familiarity with section 508 compliance
• Familiarity with search engine rankings & optimization
• Understanding of Information Architecture, MMI (man-machine interface) and usability
• Experience in a production environment is a plus; experience in creating flexible schedules to meet numerous deadlines
